The union of art and watchmaking: Temps Miroir by Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost and Dominique Perrault

Temps Miroir, designed by Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost and Dominique Perrault, is a unique watch, the result of the collaboration between the Love & Collect art gallery and our young watchmaking house. This creation perfectly embodies the fusion between the watchmaking craftsmanship that we embody and contemporary artistic expression.

French architect and urban planner Dominique Perrault is known for his iconic works such as the National Library of France and the Beijing Olympic Stadium. This watchmaking and artistic collaboration celebrates the union between two creative worlds where the precision of watchmaking meets the artistic vision of a renowned architect.

At first glance, Temps Miroir captivates with its original, sleek and elegant design. Perfectly reflective, the watch reflects to the wearer and those around them, the image of their personal schedule reflecting both the passing of time and the weather. Its black case, of timeless elegance, is a tribute to refined simplicity. Paired with a black Milanese mesh bracelet, it creates a subtle contrast that draws the eye and embodies the very essence of urban chic. But what makes the Temps Miroir watch truly unique is its mirrored dial. Devoid of traditional indexes, it offers a smooth and reflective surface that plays with the light, capturing the changing nuances of time. It is a constantly evolving tableau, an invitation to contemplate the passage of time with a new perspective. The absence of indexes on the dial gives the watch a resolutely contemporary look. It is a minimalist style statement, where simplicity becomes a form of expression in itself. Free from conventional constraints, this clean design highlights the timeless beauty of every moment, reminding us that true elegance lies in simplicity.

" Our interpretation of the dial and hands of the Temps Miroir watch reconnects with the desirable use of this object, namely a jewel. In this logic, the creation was made by removing rather than adding elements, an approach by subtraction: the dial no longer presents patterns but becomes a mirror, a total mirror because the hands themselves are mirrored. Thus, the hands disappear, and only their shadows in the mirror allow them to be discerned. When they follow the meridian axis marked by the fold, the mirror becomes perfect. This abstract and poetic object, a mirror of each person, evokes the presence of time rather than its accuracy, a form of freedom rediscovered ." Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost and Dominique Perrault

This limited edition of 100 copies comes with its box hand-signed by Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost and Dominique Perrault, as well as its certificate of authenticity from the Love & Collect art gallery.
