Guide to setting your Concordia GMT

The Concordia GMT by Charlie Paris is an automatic watch designed for adventurers and travelers, combining robustness, precision and elegance. Equipped with a Swiss Soprod C125 movement, it offers a 40-hour power reserve and water resistance up to 300 meters.

1. Manual winding

• Unscrewing the crown : Before making any adjustment, unscrew the crown by turning it counterclockwise until it comes free.
  
• Winding : In position 1 (crown unscrewed only), turn the crown upwards (clockwise) to manually wind the movement and ensure optimal power reserve.

This operation is particularly useful if the watch has not been worn for some time. A red indicator on the crown stem confirms that it is correctly unscrewed.

2. Setting the local time

• Accessing position 3 : Carefully pull the crown out to position 3. You will know you are in position 3 when the second hand stops, allowing you to set the time accurately.
  
• Adjusting the time : Turn the crown clockwise or counterclockwise to set the hour and minute hands to the desired local time.

Make sure to position the hour hand on the correct side of the dial (morning or afternoon) depending on the current time.

3. Setting the date and GMT hand

• Access to position 2 : Push the crown one notch inward to reach position 2.
  
• Setting the date : Turn the crown down (counterclockwise) to adjust the date. It is recommended not to set the date between 8pm and 4am, as the date change mechanism may be in action, which could damage the movement.
  
• Setting the GMT hand : Then turn the crown upwards (clockwise) to position the GMT hand (hand of a different color) on the desired second time zone.

The GMT hand completes one full rotation in 24 hours, thus indicating the time on a 24-hour scale, unlike the standard hour hand which completes two 12-hour revolutions per day.

4. Repositioning the crown

• Return to position 0 : Once all settings have been made, push the crown back to position 0.
  
• Screwing the crown : It is imperative to screw the crown back in firmly by turning it clockwise while exerting slight pressure. This precaution guarantees the watertightness of the watch and prevents any infiltration of water or dust.
