Alongside Hopare, one of the most prolific contemporary artists of our time, the Love&Collect art gallery and Charlie Paris had the honor of collaborating with the co-founder of the Narrative Figuration pictorial movement in France, Erró. 1. Erró, the initiator of narrative figuration in France
Erró is an Icelandic painter born Gudmundur Gudmundsson in Ólafsvík on July 19, 1932. This post-modern artist goes beyond the boundaries of Pop art and is famous for his very colorful paintings, drawings, collages but also his engravings and sculptures. Originally close to the surrealists, Erró renounced this movement to make collage, after discovering mass consumption in the United States. He travels around the world and collects images in the form of advertisements, news photos, comics, posters and even political documents. All these illustrations are his source of inspiration. In some of his compositions, he skillfully inserts characters from the paintings of famous artists such as Eugène Delacroy and Pablo Picasso. It is said of his paintings that they are “as much to read as to see”. Indeed, Erró displays surrealist imagery, ranging from comic book characters to Pop icons like Roy Lichtenstein or Andy Warhol. Erró enjoys international notoriety as a leader of narrative figuration in France; an equivalent of pop art which emerged in the early 1960s. His work has been the subject of exhibitions in Europe, Iceland, the United States and even Israel.
At Charlie Paris, we are proud to have had the opportunity to collaborate with this renowned artist on a watch in collaboration with the Love & Collect art gallery. Indeed, Charlie Paris and this Parisian art gallery have decided to produce ultra-limited series of watches thought and designed by contemporary artists.

This automatic watch is a limited edition of 100 pieces. Equipped with hour, minute and second functions, the watch with its 316L stainless steel case represents the face of an amazon specific to the artist.

The case and hands reflect the codes of our signature Initial collection. The watch is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and the box signed by the artist shows the original painting which inspired him for the dial of the watch.
