Tim Alongi and Charlie Paris: reaching for heights with the GR collection

A paragliding champion, air explorer, and mountain enthusiast, Tim Alongi embodies boldness, precision, and freedom. At Charlie Paris, this same desire to push boundaries drives our daily lives: designing watches designed to accompany those who live fully in the moment.

An exceptional pilot

Originally from the French Alps, Tim Alongi discovered paragliding at a young age. Quickly drawn to aerobatics, he became one of the world's top performers. A vice-world champion, four-time French champion, and gold medalist at the World Air Games, he is today a key figure in the discipline.

But his talent doesn't stop there: Tim also excels in cross-country, hike & fly (with an impressive 7th place at the Red Bull X-Alps 2023), bivouac flying, speedriding and speed flying. These are demanding practices that require a steely mind and perfect mastery of the environment.

A collaboration driven by a taste for exploration

Tim is an adventurer at heart. His life is filled with movement, altitude, lightness, and power. This naturally gave rise to a collaboration between him and Charlie Paris. Together, we designed a watch capable of keeping pace with him: readable at a glance, robust against the elements, and comfortable at all times.

It is in this logic that the GR collection was established. Inspired by military watches, designed for exploration, designed and assembled in France, the GR is an elegant tool watch, just like Tim: functional, precise, and discreet.
