Swiss automatic movement: Soprod C125
Since 1966, Soprod SA has developed and offered mechanical movements and watch complications. This renowned Swiss manufacturer belongs to the Festina industrial group. It should be noted that Soprod is also present in France, with its factory in Maîche where the manufacture develops bridges and plates, essential parts in the manufacture of watch movements. It is thanks to its factories in Switzerland and France that Soprod ensures, like us with our workshop in Paris, total control over its production.
The history of the C125:
It is with the desire to compete with the SW300 from Sellita and the 2892 from ETA that Soprod is developing the M100. Indeed, the proportions are similar and allow manufacturers to choose this movement rather than the Sellita and ETA in their already existing cases, but with a unique and refined movement architecture. The C125 will be born from an M100 base to which a GMT complication has been added.
The C125 movement is intended to be more high-end and thinner than the Soprod P024 or the ETA 2824 with around 1 mm less.
At Charlie Paris, you will find several movements from this renowned manufacture in addition to the C125 which will equip our Concordia GMT.
