As a thank you, we can offer you a 10% discount on our website for any watch returned and 20% if it is a watch from us.
But what is Eco tempo?
Eco tempo is the first processing channel that allows businesses and individuals to recycle their used watches and jewelry, or simply those items that are no longer worn and are gathering dust at the back of their closets. Eco tempo was created in 2010 with the aim of offering as many people as possible a sustainable and ecological solution for all these products, which until then had no suitable recycling solution. Eco tempo recycles and repurposes more than 80% of watches and
The recycling process implemented by Ecotempo is broken down into four stages:
- The collection: We collect your used watches, whether they are from us or another brand of watch.
- The dismantling: Eco Tempo, with the help of the AG2I* association, dismantles watches, providing a springboard to employment for people in social or professional difficulty.
- Sorting: The various components of watches, such as the
Case Glass, leather, and batteries are sorted and reintroduced into another production circuit. - Recycling:
Some components are reused in a specific range of second-hand products such as the Comptoir Solidaire.
Eco tempo in a few figures
- Since 2010, Eco tempo has recycled more than 7 tonnes of collected watches and jewellery.
- 3330 eco-citizens and about ten professional watchmakers, keen to recycle their watches and jewelry, have called upon Eco Tempo.
- 20 watches are dismantled per hour, that is the average rate of all the young workers of the IME La Convention d'Auch (Medical-Educational Institute) for Eco Tempo.
Did you know? For every 1 ton of watches recycled:
- 634 kg of metals need to be sorted
- 67 kg of leather are treated as waste
- 11,700 batteries are to be recovered
- 11,700 movements still need to be dismantled
An ecological action coupled with a social action
By recycling your used watches, in addition to helping the planet, you become an active participant in supporting people facing social difficulties through collaboration with the program Acting Sustainablely. Because the products received by Eco Tempo come from different models and brands, production cannot be automated and industrialized. Dismantling is therefore done manually, allowing these individuals to be reintegrated socially and professionally.
