The La Joux-Perret manufacture is a Swiss company, located in La Chaux-de-Fonds, specializing in the production of high-quality watch movements. Founded in the early 1980s by M.Martinelli, The company was initially called Prototec, then in 1990 it was acquired by M.Jaquet who would create the company Jaquet SA in 1992. It was in 2003 that the La Joux-Perret factory was established, it takes its name from the locality of the same name, bordering La Chaux-De-Fonds.
Internally, the teams consist of a technical office, including engineers, technicians and watchmaking specialists, who form the basis of all new projects of the factory. The company also includes a methods department, working directly with the workshops. This department focuses on developing product ranges and improving manufacturing processes, with continuous evolution of the tools used. It is connected to the dozens of component and decoration production workshops that count The manufacture, along with teams of watchmakers specializing in their various product lines, is part of the La Joux-Perret team. At La Joux-Perret, 140 employees work daily to produce high-quality watch movements.
Today, the La Joux-Perret manufacture is part of the Citizen Group, which provides it with technological support and allows it to be recognized for the quality of its mechanical watch movements. The manufacture uses high-quality materials and advanced manufacturing techniques to produce precise and reliable movements. Its expertise and precision enable it to work quickly and efficiently, creating movements for major watch brands. In 2022, the manufacture assembled 100,000 movements of all types.
The strength of the La Joux-Perret factory lies in its diverse expertise in milling, turning, gear cutting, rolling, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping and cutting, mechanical engineering, heat treatment, decoration, pre-assembly, assembly, and quality control.
