Présentation de la manufacture suisse La Joux-Perret

Presentation of the Swiss manufacturer La Joux-Perret

The La Joux-Perret factory is a Swiss company, located in La Chaux-De-Fonds, specializing in the production of high-quality watch movements. Founded in the early 80s by Mr. Martinelli, the company was first called Prototec, then in 1990, it was bought by Mr. Jaquet who created the company Jaquet SA in 1992. The La Joux-Perret factory was born in 2003, it takes its name from the place of the same name, bordering La Chaux-De-Fonds.

Internally, the teams are made up of a technical office, including engineers, technicians and designers specializing in watchmaking, who form the basis of all the new projects of the manufacture. The company is also made up of a methods office, in direct collaboration with the workshops. This office works on the development of the ranges but also on the improvement of the manufacturing processes, with a continuous evolution of the tools used. It is in contact with the dozen workshops for the production of components and decoration that the manufacture has as well as with the teams of watchmakers specialized in their different product ranges. At La Joux-Perret, 140 employees work daily on the manufacture of high-quality watch movements.

Today, the La Joux-Perret manufacture is part of the Citizen group, which provides it with technological support and allows it to be recognized for the quality of its mechanical watch movements. The manufacture uses high-quality materials and advanced manufacturing techniques to produce precise and reliable movements. Its know-how and precision allow it to work quickly and efficiently, creating movements for major watchmaking companies. In 2022, 100,000 movements of all types were assembled by the manufacture.

The strength of the La Joux-Perret factory lies in its various areas of expertise in terms of Milling, Bar Turning, Cutting, Rolling, Electro-erosion, Cutting and Stamping, Mechanics, Heat Treatments, Decoration, Pre-assembly, Assembly and Control. In short, it masters every aspect of manufacturing and is totally independent, which also allows it to meet short production deadlines.

The Charlie Paris x La Joux-Perret partnership: We are fortunate to collaborate with this renowned manufacturer, as part of the manufacturing of the G100 movements, present in our Alliance model. La Joux-Perret presented this three-hand automatic movement in 2020. It is an innovative movement, with a 68-hour power reserve, which thanks to the modernization and industrialization of their methods, is offered at an attractive price, for a quality that is among the best on the market.

We were lucky enough to be able to visit the factory, so we invite you to let yourself be guided by the visit of our watchmaker Alexandre.
